We are having our Rainbow Bridge memorial wall at Slobberfest 2009.

If you would like to place your pet's name on a hand decorated foam heart on the Rainbow Bridge the cost is only $10 per heart . You can find the hearts in the Droopy Shop. When you are checking out, put the first and last name or names if you want more than one of your pet to be memorialized, under "special instructions for the merchant"

This is a beautiful way to remember a pet while helping our homeless hounds.

(You can take your "Heart" from the Memorial, home with you as a Slobberfest 2009 keepsake)

When senior hounds come into Rescue, we always know their chances of being adopted are slim. Some healthy older (10 +) hounds do find forever-homes… with special people willing to adopt them knowing their time with them may only be a few precious years. Many come to Droopy and live out their lives in a foster home loved and cared for till they go to the Rainbow Bridge. ... continued on senior pg..

DROOPY is a Basset Hound rescue group dedicated to the welfare of Bassets

DROOPY is operated solely by volunteers who find homes for abandoned and relinquished Basset hounds.

We are a 501(c)3 non profit organization dependent on donations from wonderful people like you :)

Hounds are rescued from shelters, are strays whose owners cannot be found, and are those given up by owners who no longer want them or can’t care for them. DROOPY works within a set of guidelines tailored to the needs of the community it serves and its operational resources.

Although Droopy Basset Hound Rescue of Western PA has successfully placed basset hounds out of the state of PA, we strongly encourage you to contact and apply through your local or closest basset hound rescue first. If applying to Droopy from out of state, we may refer you to a closer basset hound rescue to assist your requests.
