10-05-09 Tank is now in a permanent foster home, due to age & health, he happy is settling in well. We are looking for sponsers to help with his care.
Trooper & Tankard (10 year old males) came from an actual hunting pack of Bassets. Retired from hunting, they are very well behaved & Trooper seems to listen better than most Bassets that come into DBHR. They are very healthy & love to go for walks & be petted. These two are a wonderful pair of Bassets. They have spent their whole lives with other Bassets.Trooper is the shyer of the 2, with a heart of gold & is the caretaker of the two. Tankard is easy going & a very friendly boy out for a good time & as much food as he can wolf down. They are gentle & have started to play now that they are retired, & adjusting very, very well to being house Bassets (big surprise LOL) They are wonderful companion Bassets, just waiting for the right family to love them... They can be separated as long as there is another dog in the house hold.
