In the past 10 years we have placed and helped over 300 Bassets find love and the care they needed to have a better life.
see our New T-Shirt Design for 2009!!!! | Slobberfest 2009 is fast approaching! Mark your calendars for July 11th. Same location as last year in Union City, PA; approx. 20 miles south of Erie, PA. !
Or if you're just interested in learning more about Bassets & Basset Rescue, please come enjoy! This day is guaranteed to make you laugh, & it's for a good cause!
Registration to begin at 10 am with games to start around 11 AM
*Registration for the ring games is $15 for the 1st Basset & $5 for each additional Basset
**Entrance to watch, is free ... but All donations are cheerfully accepted :) So bring your wallet as we have a fantastic Raffle, with wonderful stuff for everyone!

SLOBBERFEST SET UP PARTY
For all those who want to start the fun early & help with set-up.
We can really use extra hands to make this years Slobberfest the best ever! Let us know if you can help out anytime after 12 pm on Friday July 10th.
Pizza, Antipasto & beverage will be provided along with good company. It will be a blast!!
*This year we are also asking if you can help out for a just 1/2 hour at one of our booths?
Or the raffle table ? Sell raffle tickets? Help hold Bassets?
We need help with break down too...
.. but we need to know ASAP if you can help Friday night, so we can make plans.

Bassetarian of the Year award ( photo from 2004-colors of sculpture change each year) is up for grabs again this year... So take your sponsor form & get to work, your Basset is counting on you!

We have lots of new things planned for this year’s Slobberfest and also your favorite games from years past, such as Best Costume, Musical Mats, we’ll have the Carnivore Booths & "Pawcasso Booth", again this year!
Our Raffle Chairperson, Pat, is again doing her magic, collecting cool stuff for this year's Raffle table ... but we need your help so please contact her if you can donate items for the raffle.

Food & pop will be available, along with some yummy baked goods...So Mark your calendars, make your reservations, gather up your sponsor funds, grab a chair, load up the bassets & the food slaves, then head out to the country for a fun filled day with the most wonderful breed of dogs, their people!
This year promises to be even better than before!
All sociable Bassets & their well-behaved people welcome! Dogs must be on a lead at all times. Hounds must be up to date on shots. Owners are responsible for themselves & their pets at & during this event.

"Days Inn" Erie: call 814-868-8521 is our Hotel headquarters this year but you must book now!! We have 20 rooms reserved at a only $94 a night till 6/10/09
(rates for July are normally $169 a night)
We will also have hospitality rooms set up there, Friday and Saturday night with snacks & beverages!
